We offer childcare services from children ages 5-14, with a free educational supplement. We also offer tutoring services for ages 15 and upwards.

All of our private tutoring services are paid monthly by direct debit. We will also require a deposit which is equal to one month’s payment. You can also pay using childcare vouchers or working tax credits. Speak to our management team for more information.

Yes. All our staff have a teaching qualification or have extensive tutoring experience. Tutors also go through our internal training programme. Our Activity Leaders go through our intensive training programme and regular refresher courses.

Yes, all of our private tutoring staff are DBS checked along with all references.

As long as you notify us at least 24 hours before your private tutor session, you will not charged. The hours are banked to be used at a later date. Please note that cancelled tutor lessons cannot be refunded.

Yes, we are open right the way through. Half terms are also a chance to catch up on missed private tutor sessions as we are open from 10am. We generally only close on bank holidays. Please contact your Accelerate learning centres manager for more information.

Please speak to your local Accelerate learning centres as opening hours may vary. However, most of our centres are open 7 days a week 10am-8pm during the week and 9:30-4:30pm on the weekend.

We have a 94% pass rate into selected schools on the basis that your child has been with our private tutors over 12 months.

Maximum of 6 to each private tuition group.

No, all staff are trained to ensure tuition group noise is kept to a minimum level and once a child sees other children working quietly they tend to do the same.

The tutors are specially trained for mixed ability groups and always plan their sessions differentiating the work, we also try to keep the groups as homogenous as possible.

No, all our tutors are trained so that their time is evenly spread out across the 6 pupils. The group is small in size, which means pupils will receive sufficient individual attention.

Yes, we give homework. If this is a problem you can request no homework after a group session.

We reassess children every 12 weeks and you will receive a feedback report including previous and current assessment scores including notes from the tutors. You can also request a meeting with the tutor at any time to discuss your child’s progress.

Our private one to one tuition starts at £36 per hour.

No, we can send someone to your home for a one to one tuition session, but there may be an additional charge for transportation and parking. Please speak to your local Accelerate learning centre for more information.
